And If The Dead Rise Not. . . – by Jack Kinsella

And If The Dead Rise Not. . . – by Jack Kinsella “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.” (1st Corinthians 15:51-53) Throughout the New Testament, the word translated as ‘mystery’ comes from the Greek’musterion’ which literally means ‘secret’ or ‘hidden thing’. In our modern English, …

Glorious Change Coming

Glorious Change Coming By Terry James Something sinister lurks just ahead within this world of darkening uncertainty. The forewarning thought simmers beneath daily life that change is coming-transformational change that will make these present hours seem like the good old days for the inhabitants of future earth. Princes and presidents, potentates and populations at large sense gnawing dread spawned by the seemingly unstoppable spread of murderous, racial/religious hatreds. Proliferation of nuclear weaponry among the most violence-prone among us appears on the brink of unleashing man’s final war. The term “Armageddon” is regularly used to describe man’s greatest fear during hourly …

CHRIST’S CERTAINTY CONCERNING HIS SHEEP – A MOTIVATION TO PREACH THE GOSPEL.

CHRIST’S CERTAINTY CONCERNING HIS SHEEP – A MOTIVATION TO PREACH THE GOSPEL. John 10:16 “And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.” Not simply, “they ought to hear My voice,” not simply “they MAY hear My voice”, not “they will do so IF they are willing.” There is no “if”, no “perhaps “, no uncertainty about it. “They shall hear My voice” is His own positive, unqualified, absolute promise. Here then, is where faith is to rest! …

Israeli jets strike Iranian cargo plane unloading munitions in Damascus

06/26/2018 Syrian army sources: Israeli airborne missiles hit an Iranian air force Ilyushin Il-76 cargo plane unloading munitions at Damascus military airport early Tuesday, June 26. The explosions caused the plane to burst into flame with a number of unidentified casualties, according to other sources. Elsewhere, there were loud explosions just north of Israel’s Golan border with Syria. The Syrian army spokesman said they were caused by Syrian anti-air missiles aimed at intruding Israeli fighter jets over Khader village in the Beit Jinn pocket of Mt. Hermon opposite IDF outposts. DEBKAfile’s military sources don’t rule out the possibility that the …

How the Blessed Hope Became the Blasted Hope: The Attack on Bible Prophecy – Jan Markell

Jan Markell Why has eschatology or Bible prophecy been downplayed in the last 25 years? What kind of damage have Rick Warren, Lynne Hybels, John Piper, Hank Hanegraaff, and others done and how have they done it? Dispensationalism has become almost a dirty word in the world of scholars and is seldom taught any longer. Why such a modern-day attack on eschatology when we live in the times of the signs?   Watch this video on YouTube

Misery Loves Company

Misery Loves Company In Defense of the Faith Monday, June 25, 2018 Pete Garcia Author’s note-June 8th, 2018: This is the first article I ever wrote for the Omega Letter. Even today, I am amazed that I am still writing seven-years later, especially considering I never particularly cared for writing. Anywho, I thought of this article when I saw the news that Anthony Bourdain had hung himself in his hotel room in France today. This was the guy that every time I saw his show “Parts Unknown,” I thought, has to have the best job in the world. He gets to travel …

Seeing Jesus Christ

Reflections Seeing Jesus Christ But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Cor. 2:14) Natural man cannot receive the things of God – he has no frame of reference — because natural man, left to himself, does not know Jesus Christ. All discernment in the Christian life is the product of knowing and seeing Jesus Christ. HE is the Light and the Truth. Left to myself, my natural man will instead accept as the Truth whatever my makeup …

Pondering Thoughts

Pondering Thoughts I have been born from above Christ lives in me. I still have the old man operating in the flesh. I realize that I don’t want to give up that part of me. I also realize I don’t have the faith I say I do. My flesh is saying to me God cannot give you what I can. This is a lie. I know this. I’m bringing this lie of darkness into the light so it does not have it’s power over me. My flesh is calling God a liar and I weep over this. It is a …

“Get thee up into the high mountain.” Isaiah 40:9

“Get thee up into the high mountain.” Isaiah 40:9   Our knowledge of Christ is somewhat like climbing one of our Welsh mountains. When you are at the base you see but little: the mountain itself appears to be but one-half as high as it really is. Confined in a little valley, you discover scarcely anything but the rippling brooks as they descend into the stream at the foot of the mountain. Climb the first rising knoll, and the valley lengthens and widens beneath your feet. Go higher, and you see the country for four or five miles round, and …

Question: “Who will occupy the Millennial Kingdom?”

Question: “Who will occupy the Millennial Kingdom?” Answer: There will be two distinct groups occupying the Earth during the millennial kingdom—those with glorified bodies, and those with earthly bodies who lived through the tribulation and on into the millennial kingdom. Those with glorified bodies consist of the Church, receiving glorified bodies at the rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:21-23, 51-53), and those who are resurrected after Christ returns to Earth (Revelation 20:4-6). Those who have earthly bodies can be subdivided into two groups: believing Gentiles and believing Jews (Israel). In Revelation 19:11-16, we find the return of Jesus Christ …

25 Mosaic Law Provided no Salvation

The Mosaic Law offered a mere likeness (shadow) of what was to come through the Lord Jesus. Now there is direct access to God. The Old Law was not the final plan and it was never able to provide final perfect cleansing from sin. If sacrifices could have made people perfect they would not have had to repeat them year after year and there would have been no need for a Redeemer to come. The endless sacrifices never removed the people’s sin in the eyes of God and it left them with their guilt. God never took pleasure in the …
