In the last chapter Isaiah had warned Ahaz the king of Judah that Syria (Hebrew Aram) and Samaria would be laid waste by the Assyrians. He included the warning to Ahaz that the Assyrians were not his friends or allies as he desired. They would attack Judah and bring them to the brink of destruction sparing […]

This comes a day after Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei called on Baghdad to ensure that US troops leave Iraq “as soon as possible”. Tehran and Baghdad have agreed to bolster bilateral “aerial defence cooperation” to specifically fend off challenges facing […]

Without Fear of Man
“And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the Name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee” (Deuteronomy 28:10) Then we can have no reason to be afraid of them. This would show a mean spirit and be a token of unbelief rather than of faith. God can make us so like Himself that men shall be forced to see that we rightly bear His name and truly belong to the holy Jehovah. Oh, that we may obtain this grace which the LORD waits to bestow! Be assured that ungodly men have …
Sit Down!
Exodus 2:11–1511 And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.12 And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.13 And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smitest thou thy fellow?14 And he said, Who made …
Last Days Power Configurations – by Hal Lindsey
Last month, Russia began moving men and materiel into Venezuela. The situation there was already tragic and dangerous. Now it is much worse. The Russians are there to strengthen the disastrous, murderous regime of Nicolas Maduro. I suppose they’re there to support a fellow socialist/communist, but the fact that Venezuela has the world’s largest known oil reserves probably attracts their attention, as well. Ironically, those oil reserves are not helping keep the lights on in Venezuela. Since March 7th, much of the country has been without power. Until the blackouts, Venezuelans with US dollars were able to buy some staples. …

Vertical then Horizontal
Reflections John 3:27John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. This statement by John is a basic principle. Our relationship with God must be FIRST, and it will determine our relationship with everyone else. And the fact is, this is going to happen whether we realize it or not. This relationship between God and ourselves, and then, between ourselves and others, could be pictured in the following way: The basis for everything is our personal, one-on-one, VERTICAL relationship with God. God gives us all things freely from Himself down to us VERTICALLY. …
WHEN STORMS COME
Matthew 14:22-33(KJV)22 And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, …
