“But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.” If you put your trust in the Lord, then you should be rejoicing, shouting for joy. Why? Because God defends you. “Those that love Thy name, let them be joyful in Thee.” God does want the consciousness of our daily walk in life to be that of joy. Psalm 5 5 Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation. 2 Hearken unto the voice of my …

When we see God work in our life, it’s easy to pray with gratitude. But what if we don’t see Him at work? Psalm 138 138 I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee. 2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. 3 In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul. 4 All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, …

The Seed Line Shifts after Abel’s Murder     Cain because of the murder of his brother was given a banishment from God and from his home region, which was near Eden. Eden was in Southeast Iraq near ancient Babylon or about forty miles southeast of Baghdad on the Euphrates River northwest of the Persian Gulf. Cain’s leaving God was only a departure of the physical presence of God in time and space, the Shekinah Glory. One cannot get away from God since He is a Spirit omnipresent. The Shekinah Glory is seen in as moving flame at the east …

John 8:1-11 8 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. 2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. 3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, 4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? 6 This they said, tempting him, that they …

Romans 8:38-39 “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” The Apostle Paul goes to great lengths in this passage to comfort his readers regarding their security in Christ. For those who have come to Christ with true repentance, these verses provide assurance, hope and strength. In your own life, have you personally been persuaded that neither death nor …

When the day is dark and lonely, Don’t forget to pray; Prayer will make your pathway brighter, Drive the clouds away. For your tender heav’nly Father Listens when you call, And in loving wisdom answers, Trust Him for it all Breathe out all your joys and sorrows In His listening ear; Is your way a maze before you? He will make it clear. Walking thus, and talking with Him In communion blest, “In the secret of His presence,” He will give you rest. When the sun is brightly shining On your pilgrim way, Let the Savior share your gladness, Don’t …

By Eric M. Pazdziora I think I finally figured out what Christmas trees are really about. A while ago I found a blog article on the subject of our friend Mr. Tannenbaum. Apparently (the author observed) some folks believe that Christmas trees are pagan symbols that the church has adopted in sinful syncretism. They appeal to Scriptures such as Jeremiah 10 to support the idea: the passage describes trees being chopped down, decorated with precious metals, and worshiped by pagans (“A-ha!” chorus the neo-Scrooges). Knowing a bit about interpreting Scripture in context, I smelled an opportunity to cry “Humbug!” True, …

Theorists and the Psychological Theories That Have Destroyed American Culture and Christianity For decades we have known the destructive effect of psychology and its gurus have had on European and American morality, but the full extent of what it has done to our people is just beginning to bear fruit. Its influence is pervasive in the media, education, the field of medicine, counseling, and in the church. What have some of the theorists really done and what have they taught that has so blunted the teaching of Scriptural morals? Below is a review of what some of the pioneer teachers …

Dr. Mike Murphy It had been a trying year.  Retirement had not brought the golden years that are promised.  Her husband, Bill, had faced heart problems.  And although his health was now great again, the medical costs had eaten away at their retirement nest egg.  What had once been envisioned as a time of travel and enjoyment, had now become a time of budgets and counting pennies. But through it all, she was grateful.  The love of her life was still with her, and every dollar in the world come not bring her the happiness she found each day as …

Reflections How does one receive revelation from God? Does reading the Bible impart to us revelation from God in a way that will transform us into the image of Christ? Reading the Bible is essential – because it contains all of God’s revelation of Himself to man. But that alone isn’t the way, for some of the biggest heretics read the Bible. It is entirely possible to memorize the Bible and yet have no faith in Christ. How about praying? Also essential. But people in cults pray and remain deceived. How about meditation? Can we sit in a trace, clear …

Romans 8:29-31 (KJV) 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? How tempting it is to think we need very little improvement. Ask around, and you’ll hear many people concede they could probably use a …

The Magi As part of the birth of Jesus we read an account in Matthew’s Gospel of Herod the king of Judea receiving some people from an eastern land who were alerted that the true “King of the Jews” had been born. As a result of their visit Herod and the general population of Jerusalem were threatened. Just who were these people and why was Herod threatened? God was bringing His long awaited Messiah to the earth and the ungodly were going to try but would not be able to stop His plan. Matthew 2:1–12 Now when Jesus was born …
