“In Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him.”—Colossians 2:9, 10.

ALL the attributes of Christ, as God and man, are at our disposal. All the fulness of the Godhead, whatever that marvellous term may comprehend, is ours to make us complete. He cannot endow us with the attributes of Deity; but He has done all that can be done, for He has made even His divine power and Godhead subservient to our salvation. His omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence, immutability and infallibility, are all combined for our defence. Arise, believer, and behold the Lord Jesus yoking the whole of His divine Godhead to the chariot of salvation! How vast His grace, how …

WAITING FOR GOD

Psalm 27:14 14 Wait for the Lord;be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! Our culture is an “instant” society. Because of inventions like the computer and the microwave, we’re used to quick results. A fast pace isn’t necessarily bad, but we should guard against becoming so set on immediate fulfillment that we can’t wait for God’s timing. This problem existed long before the computer age. In Genesis 15:4-5, God revealed to Abraham that though he and his wife Sarah were too old to have children, a great nation would come from him. Abraham believed God …

Genesis Msg 6 Creation of Sea Life and Birds

In this video Dr Woodhead discusses the creation of the sea and bird life. The Hebrew word for soul is nephish and it refers to the fact that there is some consciousness with these creatures as opposed to plant life. The great sea monsters included here is a Hebrew word tannin. This is also the first instance of God speaking to someone else. God blessed the birds and sea creatures. The medieval Jewish rabbis believed that God blessed them since they would be hunted and eaten later.   Watch this video on YouTube

Advancing Through Adversity

From God’s perspective, our suffering may be an opportunity He takes to draw us closer to Him. PSALM 56:3-4 3 When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You. 4 In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere man do to me? There is a slogan that has worked its way into popular usage over the past few years: the stalwart cry, “No Fear!” Generally, this phrase is attached to some daring athletic attempt. But can the expression also find a deeper meaning related to …

God of All My Moments

Numbers 20:1-13 20 And the people of Israel, the whole congregation, came into the wilderness of Zin in the first month, and the people stayed in Kadesh. Glorying In the Cross

Reflections God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. (Gal. 6:14) Paul is using the tool of irony in this verse. He knew that the Cross cut off every thing about himself on which he could stand, and therefore in which he might glory. But rather than lament this fact, Paul is thankful for it. He says he will glory in the fact that he has nothing to glory in. The Cross did this. In short, he will glory only …

ADVANCING THROUGH ADVERSITY

2 Corinthians 12:7-10(KJV) 7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take …

An Hour You Think Not

Pete Garcia Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”  Matthew 24:1-3 One of the …
