Select Departures From Biblical Orthodoxy in Christianity

Deception in Christianity Matthew 24: 4-5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many (KJV).    II John 7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.   2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to …

Your heavenly Father.” Matthew 6:26

Your heavenly Father.” Matthew 6:26 God’s people are doubly his children, they are his offspring by creation, and they are his sons by adoption in Christ. Hence they are privileged to call him, “Our Father which art in heaven.” Father! Oh, what precious word is that. Here is authority: “If I be a Father, where is mine honour?” If ye be sons, where is your obedience? Here is affection mingled with authority; an authority which does not provoke rebellion; an obedience demanded which is most cheerfully rendered–which would not be withheld even if it might. The obedience which God’s children …

What Is Intercession?

Intercession is not a matter of begging God to do something we think is needed. Neither is it a matter of basing our faith on our ability to reach God through prayer. Rather, to intercede, I must put myself aside. Intercession is a matter of being apprehended by God to stand with HIM for HIS will and HIS purpose — regarding the one for whom you intercede, or regarding the situation in question. Intercession is for God’s will, His way, in His time — regardless of cost.In the NT Greek, the word for “intercession” carries the meaning, “to fall in …

The Proving of the Truth

Reflections From the Psalms   The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. (Ps. 12:6)   Peter writes, “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. (I Peter 1:7) We often think of the trial of faith as a trying of US. There is some Truth in that. We do have to choose. But in the end, the trial of faith …

Genesis Message 55 Rebecca Has Twins – Esau Sells His Birthright Daniel Woodhead Daniel Woodhead

Published on Jan 25, 2017

Isaac’s wife Rebecca was barren for about twenty years. Rebecca finally became pregnant with twin boys. During a difficult pregnancy the two boys were unusually active within her womb. The activity was not natural and she suspected an evil omen. The expressive language of Hebrew captures this activity with an unusual verb vy-yitrotsetsu and translated it means “they crushed and thrust” one another. This foretold their future hostile relationship. Rebecca inquired of the Lord regarding this and He responded; “two nations that is, twin progenitors of two nations, were struggling in her womb.” The Hebrew word for nation is goieem, which is indicating both Jewish and Gentile nations. Common modern Jewish usage of the word Goy is to reference the Gentiles. That is not the biblical Hebrew meaning. They became two entirely different people groups. One people would be stronger and the other weaker. He concluded by stating “the elder shall serve the younger” (Genesis 25: 23).

“Perhaps Today – The Imminent Coming of Christ”

by Thomas Ice by RR@admin2 The New Testament teaching that Christ could return and rapture His church at any-moment, without prior signs or warning (i.e., imminency), is such a powerful argument for pretribulationism that it is one of the most fiercely attacked doctrines by pre-trib opponents. Non-pretribulationists sense that if the New Testament teaches imminency, then a pre-trib rapture is virtually assured. DEFINITION OF IMMINENCY What is the biblical definition of imminency? Dr. Renald Showers defines and describes imminence as follows: 1) An imminent event is one which is always “hanging overhead, is constantly ready to befall or overtake one; …

The Eight Stage Campaign of Armageddon 19: 19

Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the Rider on the horse and His army (19:19). According to the Bible, great armiesfrom the west and the east will gather and assemble on this plain in the Valley of Armageddon(Psalm 2:2; Joel 3:9-11). As the antichrist and his armies approach Jerusalem, God will intervene and Jesus Christ will return to rescue His people Israel. In a sense, Armageddon is a battle that never really takes place. That is, it does not take place in accordance with its original …

Rapture-resistance Reasoning

Terry James While those who truly grasp the lateness of the hour and what the issues and events of these strange, troubled times mean, there is the overwhelming majority that hasn’t a clue. This is neither surprising nor unexpected, because the vast part of the world’s population is in spiritual darkness–without Christ, therefore without the Holy Spirit to guide thinking and comportment. There are millions upon millions of others who are within Christendom–that is, who claim to be under the umbrella of Christianity. Most of these, statistics bear out, would not qualify as “Christian” under the definition of being “born …

God’s Chastisement of His Children

Reflections From The Psalms The Lord tries the righteous: but the wicked and him that loves violence his soul hates. (Ps. 11:5) The contrast in this verse is striking. On the one hand we are told what the Lord hates. But this is contrasted over and against those who are righteous in Christ – those whom God loves. And clearly, one way in which God expresses His love is by, “trying the righteous.” When the Bible speaks of, “trying, trials, or testing,” it is NOT talking about God putting people into situation in order to see whether they have faith. …

The Last Generation

Pete Garcia You know what the funny thing about Bible Prophecy is? It’s that irrespective of our doctrinal positions and eschatological ‘leanings’, the reality is that it’s coming to pass regardless of what we think or believe. Nations are aligning just as they were foretold, regardless of what Rick Warren or Hank “the Bible Answer Man” Hanegraaff teaches. Collectively, we have become a people bent only on wickedness, with our hearts filled with violence…just like the Bible said we would, in the Last Days. But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be …

Satan’s Doom

For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.  (Isa. 14:12-15). …

Revelation 12 The “ woman “ is Israel, before the birth of Jesus.

Chapters 11, 12 and 13 of Revelation are considered Parenthetical. They are a break in the sequence of events, and chapter 12 moves around through time, Past and future……maybe more than any chapter in the bible. Rev 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: The “ woman “ is Israel, before the birth of Jesus. Rev 12:2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. This jumps ahead to the birth …
