Sound Doctrine

Reflections   The reason that sound doctrine is essential is not merely because it rightly represents the Bible. It does. But the real reason sound doctrine is essential is that it rightly represents God Himself. In scripture, doctrine is not merely right or wrong theology. Rather, it is ERROR or the TRUTH. False doctrine means bondage. But bondage to what? Not merely bondage to the false teaching. Rather, it is bondage to, “another Jesus,” and to a God who doesn’t exist. My false doctrine will keep me in bondage to the false God it creates — but will also keep …

WHO IS THIS JESUS?

There is no middle ground when it comes to Jesus: He is either a fraud, or He is Lord Matthew 16:13-16 (KJV) 13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. 15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. Throughout …

Reverence is the biblical, “fear of the Lord,” and is the outcome of seeing Him in His Son — in Spirit and in Truth.

“Being afraid of the Lord,” is not reverence. It is based on a lie about God. Love vs. Fear from I John 4: (1) I John 4 states, “God is love,” AND (2) I John 4 also states, “Perfect love casts out fear,” THEREFORE. (3) this means that God casts out fear. WHICH, IN TURN (4) means that God never incites fear. The condition of, “being afraid of God” — is never created by God, or the result of the Truth — AS VERIFIED IN 2 TIMOTHY 1:7 WHICH SAYS, (5) God has not given us the spirit of fear, …

The Day He was Born

Amir’s Christmas message ahead of the holidays AFTER 400 Years of Silence since the end of the Old Testament, we hear of two names: Zachariah and Elizabeth. Zachariah means the Lord remembers. Elizabeth means the Lord has sworn. Both names – Zachariah and Elizabeth- are a token of the hope that we can always have even in times that seem like silence from God’s side- that He is there faithful to his promises, remembers all of them as he had sworn. Both people were righteous in times where the Holy Spirit was not too active and yet following the word …

The Innkeeper ( Do You Have Time For God This Christmas?)

Dr. Mike Murphy “I just do not have time for all this!  With all the people pouring into this town, I have to make the most of each minute.  I have to strike while the iron is hot.  It would just not be good business to do otherwise.  This census has brought me an opportunity that I may never see again.  Every inch of space in this town is needed right now, and I can get whatever price I want for the space I have.  Now is not the time for me to be giving out free rooms!  Not even …

Free to Enjoy God

God is a loving Father and friend, not a judgmental taskmaster who motivates by intimidation. Psalm 37:3-5 3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. 4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. 5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. The gospel writers spoke about children coming to Jesus, giving the impression that the young were very comfortable around Him (Matt. 18:2-3; Matt. 19:13-14). Some probably climbed …

Merry Christnukkah!

Here we are drawing close to the eve of Christmas and Hanukkah in this season of celebrating eternal light. It has been proven by many, that this isn’t the season of our Saviors birth but the season of His conception, and He was actually born during the time frame Feast of Tabernacles. That doesn’t diminish the celebration of this season, it just shifts the focus of the celebration. So, in this season of the celebratiing the conception of the light of the world, from Prepare the Way Ministries International, Tribe Quantum, Prophetic Art of James Nesbit, and the Nesbit home, …

Muslim migrant wanted for Berlin massacre was jailed 4 years in Italy; police lost him

DECEMBER 21, 2016 4:58 PM BY ROBERT SPENCER Why was he allowed into Germany at all? Because it would have been “Islamophobic” to keep him out. Why did police lose him after he was arrested three times? Because there are so many young Muslim men like Anis Amri, young men who could be jihad threats, that German authorities simply can’t keep up with them all. Thus it is madness for them to admit even more, but Merkel seems hell-bent on doing so anyway. “Revealed: Tunisian asylum seeker wanted for Berlin massacre was jailed for four years in Italy for burning …

IN THE SCHOOL OF FAITH

Small faith limits God’s activity in a believer’s life. He uses us only to the degree of our trust in Him Matthew 16:6-12(KJV) 6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. 7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread. 8 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? 9 Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how …

Names of Jesus: The Good Shepherd

A Bible Study by Jack Kelley “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay …

Captain of the Host of the Lord

Reflections And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. (Josh. 5:13-14) Joshua wanted to know the whose side this angel would fight for. He said, “Neither side. I’m here to fight for the Lord’s interests.” This is true in any …

Question 6: What does it mean to worship God “in spirit and in truth,” and does the Bible specify a particular style of worship?

John 4:24 says: God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. Answer: Concerning what Yeshua meant about worshipping God “in spirit and in truth,” one has to consider the context of Yeshua’s conversation with the Samaritan woman. In this conversation, the question came up whether Jerusalem or Mount Gerizim was the proper place of worship. Hence, the issue was not the form or type of worship, but rather: Must the worship of God occur in only one specific place? The Messiah declared to the Samaritan woman that, for the time being, Jerusalem was the …

The Hope of Glory

Reflections And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (Rom 8:17-18) There are a number of expressions in the Bible that seem a little odd to our way of speaking. For example, Paul says we are, “in Christ.” He also says there is life, “in Christ Jesus.” (John 1:4) These seem odd to us because we …
