50 Reasons For a Pretribulational Rapture By Dr. John F. Walvoord

Dr. John Walvoord’s 50 Arguments For A Pretribulational Rapture In previous discussion of premillennialism in relation to the Tribulation, the respective arguments for pretribulationism, partial rapture, posttribulationism, and midtribulationism have been examined and the pretribulational position in general sustained. By way of conclusion and summary, some fifty arguments for pretribulationism can now be proposed. It is not presumed that the statement of these arguments in themselves establishes their validity but rather that the previous discussion supports and justifies this summary of reasons for the pretribulational view. For the sake of brevity, the term rapture or translation is used for the …

“Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the LORD said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remains yet very much land to be possessed” (Joshua 13:1).

“While the Lord took knowledge of the enfeebled frame of His servant, yet He did not for that reason encourage him to be slack. On the contrary, He assigned him a new, though much lighter task. It is not the revealed will of God that His people should spend their old age in idleness. He does not preserve them through all the dangers of youth and the trials of maturity that they should be mere cumberers of the ground. He may well suffer them to become exceedingly tottery and perhaps bedridden and entirely dependent upon others, yet even so, it …

When People Fail Each Other

Like Paul’s friends, we sometimes assume Christian leaders don’t need our support. 2 Timothy 4:9-18 9 Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me: 10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. 11 Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry. 12 And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus. 13The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments. 14 Alexander …

The Night The Angels Cried

Dr. Mike Murphy   So many times, I have wondered what it must have been like. To have been present in the small town of Judea on that incredible night. To have watched the crowds as they filled the city. To have heard the first cry of an infant born. As those in Bethlehem that night looked into the peacefulness of the sky, I wonder if any knew how those cries would soon and forever change the world?   As beautiful as the stars must have shown that night, I also wonder what the view was like that night from …

“Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” 1 Thessalonians 5:24

Heaven is a place where we shall never sin; where we shall cease our constant watch against an indefatigable enemy, because there will be no tempter to ensnare our feet. There the wicked cease from troubling, and the weary are at rest. Heaven is the “undefiled inheritance;” it is the land of perfect holiness, and therefore of complete security. But do not the saints even on earth sometimes taste the joys of blissful security? The doctrine of God’s word is, that all who are in union with the Lamb are safe; that all the righteous shall hold on their …

Select Departures From Biblical Orthodoxy in Christianity

Deception in Christianity Matthew 24: 4-5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many (KJV).    II John 7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.   2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to …

Syrian Army Pushes Daesh Out of Palmyra, Regains Full Control Over City – Source

11.12.2016 The Syrian army managed to repel a Daesh attack on Syrian Palmyra, regaining full control over the embattled city, a source in militia reported. Earlier, it was reported that the Syrian armed forces together with local militias were engaged in fierce fights against the Daesh militants on the outskirts of the ancient city. Prior to that, media reports emerged alleging that Daesh has reentered Palmyra after being ousted from the city by Syrian troops with air support from Russia earlier in the year. “Let me repeat that Palmyra is under control of the army and militia. Daesh militants are carrying out intense attacks, but they have been repulsed,” the military source told RIA Novosti. According …
