Signs and Wonders in the Last Days

By: Pete Garcia As of late, there has been much discussion over the convergence of signs that have seemingly been dogpiling each other in recent months and years. These are they which do not point to the Rapture of the Church, but point to the events that make possible, the events laid out inside the seven year period of time known as Daniel’s 70th Week. As many have alluded to in the past, that if we are already seeing those signs, and the Rapture precedes this last week of years, then we are much closer than we know. There are …

“For freedom Christ has set us free”

I was thinking about the scripture in Galations 5:1 where it says, “For freedom Christ has set us free”. What is this freedom and what is it unto? It is clearly not freedom to do as our ‘ Adam-self’ desires. But it is the freedom which all in Christ desire, the freedom to not be under the government of our own soul. (mind, will, emotions) It is the freedom which comes from the work of His cross in our lives to set us free to live out from His life. This, of course, is the only true freedom there is! …

Iran plans to build aircraft carrier, boost naval warfare capabilities

Published time: 27 Dec, 2016 17:44 Iran is planning to build an aircraft carrier, a senior Iranian navy commander has said as he announced that the country is pursuing greater maritime warfare capabilities. “At present, the Defense Ministry and the Navy are both after building military equipment for naval warfare but the Defense Ministry is producing different types of missiles indigenously and the Navy’s needs to missiles are met using this capacity,” Deputy Navy Commander for Coordination Admiral Peiman Jafari Tehrani said on Monday, as cited by semi-official Fars news agency. “And the Lord shall guide thee continually.” Isaiah 58:11

“The Lord shall guide thee.” Not an angel, but Jehovah shall guide thee. He said he would not go through the wilderness before his people, an angel should go before them to lead them in the way; but Moses said, “If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.” Christian, God has not left you in your earthly pilgrimage to an angel’s guidance: he himself leads the van. You may not see the cloudy, fiery pillar, but Jehovah will never forsake you. Notice the word shall–“The Lord shall guide thee.” How certain this makes it! How sure …

The Necessity for a Savior

Reflections For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. (Rom. 5:19) The necessity for a Savior is predicated upon the fact that man, as a race, is spiritually dead – and that there is nothing he can do to save himself. This is why where the sin nature of man is denied, the Truth of the Savior and His Redemption is always distorted. Such error is even possible among those who profess Christ. Paul wrote: “I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come …

The Cradle, the Cross and the Crown

Pete Garcia During the Christmas Season, it is fitting for Christian households and churches to focus on the first coming of Jesus Christ. In times past, and perhaps not so much anymore, one could see the manger scenes in town squares and in front of churches of all denominations. Christmas cards bearing the Star or the three Wisemen are passed amongst believers during this season. Preachers preach predominantly from Matthew 1-2, churches hold cantatas and the sounds of “peace on earth, good will toward men” fill the ears of believers round the world. Bethlehem, Israel becomes the focus of world …

The Ruin of Rebellion

We reap what we sow, and rebellion against God will result in a form of slavery. Galatians 6:7-10 7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto …

For God So Loved

Reflections For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:16-17) The most often quoted verse in the Bible contains the whole of the gospel, and in it, is revealed the heart of God. The motive of God in giving us Christ was love. Jesus Christ came to SAVE us from our sins – not condemn us for our sins. But …

THE BIBLE: GOD’S VOICE TODAY

God has spoken to mankind since the beginning and He still does it today, primarily through His Word. 2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV) 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: In biblical times, God spoke in many dramatic ways. Although He still speaks today, His methods have changed. We can’t expect Him to speak in an audible voice or to send an angelic messenger every time He has something to say to us. We must learn how to perceive His voice today. The primary way our …

What Is The Gospel?

By Dr. Harry Ironside (1876-1951) “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures” (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). It might seem almost a work of …
