Wondrous Love

Wondrous Love John 17:20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who believe in Me through their word.” _____________________________________________________________ In the very opening of this verse one feels inexpressibly delighted to hear of the wondrous love that our Savior has toward us, His people. He promises here that He will intercede for every one of us before His Father’s throne and not only us, but also those who will in the future believe; those who are yet uncalled, unconverted, and unregenerated. When we consider this, His exceeding grace and affection, it is more than we can …

ADVANCING THROUGH ADVERSITY

ADVANCING THROUGH ADVERSITY 2 Corinthians 12:7-10(KJV) 7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 …

Glorying In the Cross

Reflections Glorying In the Cross God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. (Gal. 6:14) Paul is using the tool of irony in this verse. He knew that the Cross cut off every thing about himself on which he could stand, and therefore in which he might glory. But rather than lament this fact, Paul is thankful for it. He says he will glory in the fact that he has nothing to glory in. The Cross did this. In short, …

The Benefit of Studying Biblical Prophecy  Part 1

Prophecy – Signs Tuesday, May 15, 2018 Steve Schmutzer I was dismayed to see a reader’s feedback to one of my articles, but it was not because he disagreed with my position or disliked the things I had to say. In fact, he was complimentary about how I’d arrived at my conclusions and how I’d expressed my views. What troubled me were his comments on the study of Biblical prophecy itself. He stated that he “….also used to be passionate about prophetic issues,” but he has since “wised up and realized the distraction it had become” to him. His conclusion was “….we need to focus on …

Psalm 56:3 3 When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.

Psalm 56:3 3 When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. I have found each time I start to get stressed or anxious.. If I pause and start whispering.. “I trust You Jesus” My pulse starts to calm and I start to act rationally I start to lose that anxiety and I’m back to what’s at hand.. He’s got this! Our souls are designed to recognize and respond to the name of Jesus.. Psalm 143:8 8 Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should …

SEEKING GUIDANCE: THE PATTERN

We often want to know God’s plan, but there’s a process to seeking His guidance. SEEKING GUIDANCE: THE PATTERN Matthew 7:7-8(KJV) 7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. There’s a pattern we should follow in seeking God’s guidance, and the first step involves cleansing. Sin can strangle the Holy Spirit’s power in us and cloud judgment, so we must ask God to reveal and then …

HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW?

We are each accountable for what we do or don’t do. If we are diligent and careful in the upkeep… PROVERBS 24:30-32 __________________________________________________________________ “I went by the field of the lazy man, and by the vineyard of the man devoid of understanding; and there it was, all overgrown with thorns; its surface was covered with nettles; its stone wall was broken down. When I saw it, I considered it well; I looked on it and received instruction…” HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW? May 15, 2017 Our eyes appreciate a beautiful, well-kept garden. There is something about a manicured landscape that …

Witnesses to the Truth of Christ

The ruling Jews at the time of Jesus did not believe who He was. Even though He proved to them by many facts and fulfilled prophecies they nevertheless accused Him of blasphemy as they said He was making Himself out to equal with God (John 5:18). They had a validating procedure in place to determine truth. They unfortunately did not rely on it to certify that He is the Messiah

The Great Man Theory

Pete Garcia The Rapture of the Church is not intrinsically dependent upon any other prophetic event for it to occur. However, there are other prophetic connections dependent upon the Rapture for their own fulfillment. The arrival of the Antichrist is one of those examples. There has to be a man who fits the Biblical descriptions, ready to seize upon the chaos that would ensue in the aftermath of a Rapture scenario. This leads one to believe either one of two things; this particular man was made for the times, or the times will make him. The great man theory was an idea first …

EXPERIENCING GOD’S LOVE

The Lord wants each of us to experience His great love in a personal and intimate way EXPERIENCING GOD’S LOVE Ephesians 3:14-19 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the …
