After God destroyed Sodom, Lot did not want to flee Sodom according to God’s plan. He wanted what he wanted regardless of what God wanted for him. This is further evidence that the sins of Sodom had entrenched themselves into Lot and his family. The Bible clearly teaches that our sins will be passed down to our children. This intercessory prayer of Abraham is the finest example in the Bible. It shows how the righteous men of the world can approach the God of the Universe to request Him to do according to His nature.
